Built by a teacher who kept hearing the same worry.
From the founding team
Our founding team has been teaching children since 2024. Class after class, and after deep research with parents, we heard the same story: they wanted their kids to speak the language proudly, but the tools they'd tried felt like homework — dry apps, YouTube playlists, PDFs that quietly disappeared into the downloads folder.
What kids actually respond to is a real person, a real conversation, and a room small enough that they can't hide. That's the class the founding team kept running. Kid Emerge is that class, made properly — a live cohort, small groups, and a curriculum built specifically for young learners.
We're launching with two tracks — Standard Igbo (Igbo Izugbe) and Standard Yoruba — because that's where the request has been loudest. The point of Kid Emerge isn't a single language: it's meeting families where they are and helping their children grow into confident, joyful speakers.
Our mission
Kid Emerge exists for two things: closing the gaps in children's education, and opening doors for them — locally and globally.
We start with what families have asked for most: live Igbo and Yoruba cohorts built around real conversation. Over time we'll grow into wider parts of a child's education and development, always with the same two goals — close the gaps, and create opportunities.
Close the gaps in children's education, one small live cohort at a time.
To raise kids who would consistently attract the right opportunities to themselves.
